The SMBI calendar year begins with WATER in June and ends with fifth term choir tour in May. This calendar includes information about the larger events, like WATER, and some of the smaller events that occur throughout the year.
Six week terms at SMBI follow this daily schedule. Listed here are the schedules for first through fifth terms, 2018-2019.
Student and other user related funds provide approximately 65% of the annual budget. Contributions from churches, individuals, and businesses provide the remainder. Tuition discounts and student aid are available for pastors, missionaries, teachers, and others as needed.
Courses at SMBI include study in Bible, Evangelism, History, Language, Music, Practical Topics, and Theology.
SMBI's programs of study allow the student to focus on a particular area of interest. The three programs, Missions, Bible & Theology, and Christian Education, take as little as two years to complete.

The WATER program is a six week summer missions opportunity. It provides students with a first hand experience of mission work with the missionary as a teacher. There are still open opportunities, especially for men.
